Bio

Laura Wagar, MS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been working in the clinical treatment field since 2012. Laura received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2008 and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2012. She then obtained her NCC in 2012 and her LPC in 2016. Most recently, she has also obtained her certification in Rapid Resolution Therapy, Experiential Therapy, as well as Clinical Supervision. Laura initially began working as a case manager in a crisis stabilization hospital. Since then, Laura has been able to work with a wide range of clients and offer multiple modes of therapy including addiction treatment in the detox, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. Laura remains passionate about helping those who have been diagnosed with co-occurring disorders as well as helping others heal from past trauma. She believes in creating a safe, therapeutic environment that empowers the client to facilitate change into their recovery journey.
